What Sets Us Apart
Enterprises everywhere constantly face extreme challenges in organizing and presenting
consolidated views of the oceans of data they swim in. AwareNautics is perhaps the only
company whose primary mission is to integrate and provide a single source reporting point to
address diversity and provide the "IT intelligence factor".
The use of a scaling methodology and an approach that takes the whole statistical distribution
into account for each measure to integrate scaled measures into a single Enterprise
Service Index for each application, and their analytic extension to Health and Quality of
Service metrics further differentiates AwareNautics from others.
AwareNautics provides the ability to see much more of the enterprise in a single glance.

Highlights
Software Design and Development
Designed, presented for approval, prototyped and implemented end-user enterprise application Quality of Service response time and integrated infrastructure solutions as related to Omegamon historical data and provided managed service solutions from inception to product/service delivery
Participated in launch of new Service Level Management products and Omegamon DE
Created reporting and analysis displays used in marketing materials and in customer demos
Oversaw compilation of master documentation of metadata
Designed and built data sources that drove product demonstrations
Performed technical evaluations and liaison functions for new and existing Candle partnerships including SAS, Peakstone, Ingenium Technology
Participated in software acquisition and product tailoring for cross-product reporting solution
Designed and implemented comparative software processing models tested at IBM Solution Partner Labs
Performance and Capacity Management
Designed and implemented multi-input performance/capacity databases and reporting systems, aggregating data/statistics for MVS, network and IMS/CICS/DB2/MQ environments to analyze, model, predict and visualize mainframe response time, utilization and saturation. Systems were used for multiple system optimization events, workload migration, upgrades and in presentations to computer measurement community
Developed an online MIS EIS department-wide reporting system, Customer Capacity Data Entry System and evolved a new planning approach geared to statistical reduction, including use of neural networks and genetic algorithms
Systems Optimization
Interacted in many early-release hardware and software implementations that resulted in useful performance or capacity enhancements/buybacks. One exposure resulted in elimination of need for a mainframe upgrade saving approximately $3 million, and vastly improving and stabilizing critical application response time. This also resulted in the IBM implementation of directed paging and a page delete capability in MVS SP 4.2.
Implemented many new techniques to optimize early releases of IBM parallel processing technology and presented results to computer measurement community
Created “town hall tuning” mechanism to assess results of optimization activities
Enterprise Integration, Data Warehousing and Strategic Planning
Integral participant in design, development, implementation and tuning of an open system architecture for a logically distributed data warehouse project that bridged interfaces between a mainframe environment, a Teradata data base machine and multiple LANs, communicating data between disjoint DBMS's and application systems including SAS, DBase, Lotus, DB2, Sybase, Microsoft Access. System was used in development of the new business plan for a $1 billion IPO, the largest IPO by a U.S. insurance or financial services company and the 5th largest IPO in U.S. history at the time
Authored a corporate organizational model to facilitate strategic interaction
Designed and implemented multiple mainframe configurations according to business requirements
Financial Development
Performed client revenue/capacity analysis, data center rate analysis, rate modeling/synthesis, charge back scheme and made presentations to management/clients resulting in $1 million revenue per year for data center
Developed a computer client actual versus budget reporting system, a budgeting system and data center rate setting algorithms incorporated as part of the base for the MICS Accounting Component, a commercial mainframe computer billing system
Authored the Candle Advantis Billing System
